Early Life and Career
Aaron Gordon was born on September 16, 1995, in San Jose, California. He attended Archbishop Mitty High School, where he led the team to a state championship as a senior. Gordon was named a McDonald's All-American and played in the Jordan Brand Classic before committing to the University of Arizona.
College Career
Gordon played one season for the Arizona Wildcats, where he averaged 12.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and helped lead the Wildcats to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament.
NBA Career
Gordon was selected fourth overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2014 NBA Draft. He quickly became a key contributor for the Magic, averaging 9.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a rookie. In the 2016-17 season, Gordon made his first NBA All-Star Game and won the slam dunk contest.
