Second Victim Succumbs to Injuries
A second person has tragically died as a result of a motorcycle crash that occurred on Friday night in Antioch. Authorities have confirmed that the victim, who suffered critical injuries in the accident, succumbed to their wounds. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Initial Crash Details
The initial crash took place at approximately 5:25 p.m. on Sunday in the 600 block of E. 18th Street near Terrace Drive. Antioch police responded to the scene and found a motorcyclist who had been involved in a collision. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
Second Fatal Crash within Days
The death of this second victim marks the second fatal motorcycle crash in Antioch within a week. On Wednesday evening, a 63-year-old Bay Point man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Deer Valley Road near Prewett Ranch Road. The driver of the vehicle that struck the motorcyclist fled the scene and remains at large.
